A Day in the Life at KPMG Australia

At 3:00 PM, I have an internal review with my manager. We go over the progress of my tasks, discuss any issues, and strategize on how to tackle upcoming challenges. This is a great opportunity for feedback and aligning on priorities.

Once I go upstairs to level 9, it’s time for coffee number two! And a quick chat to a few of my colleagues on the way from the kitchen to my desk. I usually like to choose a desk with a city view, and today is no exception.

In my team’s workflow meetings we discuss all the work we had complete the previous week and all the work we need to get done this week.

Days vary as a consultant depending on the project I am working on. I have discovered I am most productive in the morning, so I tend to block out time to get a head start on my tasks for the day, unless there’s any meetings booked during this time.

Victoria Lloyd studied a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) at the University of Queensland and is now a Analyst in Valuations in Deals, Tax & Legal at KPMG.

Ankur Atri studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Australia and is now a Consultant in Engineering, Asset Management & Project Delivery (Infrastructure, Assets and Places) at KPMG.

I’m working on a technology implementation project... which has approximately 8 different streams of work (including HR, Change Management, Procurement, Technology, etc.).
