Cultural & Linguistic Diversity at KPMG Australia
We work hard to create a sense of inclusion across the whole organisation, regardless of background or culture.
Here are some ways we do that:
- Cultural leave – swap an existing public holiday with a different day that’s more relevant to your beliefs and traditions.
- The Belong network - a safe space for culturally diverse employees to connect, celebrate events and drive positive change.
- Asian Female Leaders network - holds regular events where members and guests can share experiences.
- Muslim Faith network - a supportive network for our Australian Muslim Community.
- Illuminate Leadership and Talent program - addressing under-representation of culturally diverse talent.
KPMG Australia has team members from around the world, with a rich environment of ethnic, religious and cultural diversity and languages. This brings together a wealth of skills, experiences and perspectives that makes KPMG not only a great place to work, but also provides a diversity of innovations and resources for our clients.
We’re strengthening our focus on cultural diversity at leadership levels, creating career development opportunities, recognising the importance of role models from different backgrounds and building our cultural IQ across the firm. We hold forum events across the country to create opportunities for everyone to share stories about their cultural identity, as well as offering facilities for our people to engage in prayer and quiet contemplation during the working day and cultural/religious leave.
Our cultural leave policy allows our people to swap an existing public holiday for a different day to celebrate significant cultural or religious events relevant to their cultural of Indigenous heritage and religious beliefs.
