Managers are generally helpful and handle the jobs well

yes they are lovely and are here to help you

Could be more of an outlined process about interaction with higher ups at the start

Some provide good feedback and guidance.

My personal manager has worked from home all year and has only been into the office once since I've been here, which has made it difficult at points to get in touch with her. Pretty much everyone is very willing to help you learn and answer questions.

Very social and approachable for knowledge sharing, despite their own busy schedules, they always have the time to spare to help and assist which is so helpful. Performance conversations are casual and very much about geting to know each other.

The consulting partners come across as entirely self-interested people trying to cover for themselves in these trying times. There was a call where they announced to all consultants (entry-level) that they were changing the graduate pathway to senior consulting from 2 years to 2.5 years - effective immediately - and the slide deck and the delivery of the presentation gave off the impression that the slide deck had been pulled together in 30 minutes and the partner had been briefed 5 minutes before the call. She started the call all bright and cheery, and went on a soliloquy about her university experience, which ended up going nowhere. And then she delivered the bad news that angered the 300-400 consultants on the call. Then she finished the call saying how many wonderful learning and development opportunities there were at KPMG and to "have a great day" verbatim. Her tone was upbeat or neutral throughout the entire call and did not at all reflect the gravity and unfairness of the change.

The managers in my team are all terrific.

Great mentor, great person, super supportive and great teacher

Great managers, Directors are hit or miss but no necessarily bad.

Very good mentors, our team especially they are down to earth and always willing to share their knowledge when asked. Not a lot of feedback as the work we do moves quite fast but the feedback comes during catch ups etc.

Generally, engagement managers are the best people in the firm to work with and are highly motivated, knowledgeable and good leaders. I find that there is a clear difference in the level and commitment to engagement with the team between managers to directors and partners where it makes it really obvious how much extra the managers pick-up.

Managers are readily accessible and are always there to provide mentorship and teach you. The firm signs you up with a performance development manager and they are constantly checking in to see how you're performing. The firm also has a feedback system where you can request feedback from anyone at anytime.

I find a lot of managers difficult to reach out to. Usually if I need help I would speak to my in-charge on the job. I understand managers have a lot on their plate but sometimes my messages are left on delivered all day.

Very approachable, and dedicated to upskilling us

Most are actually pretty good, but they are just overworked so can't give their full selves to coaching and developing.

The managers that I have worked with have all been really good, with good feedback and recognition.

Generally the managers I work with are fantastic, providing feedback is done well at our organisation.
