Recruitment Process

  • What to Include: Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, CV, and relevant qualifications (such as an academic transcript for recent graduates). A valid ID and working with children checks are mandatory for all applicants.

2. Initial Review and Phone Interview

  • Timing: If your application matches our needs, you will be contacted within 1-2 weeks for a brief phone interview..
  • What to Expect: This is a chance to further clarify your experience and interests. We may ask why you're passionate about working with children and how you handle various challenges in a childcare setting.
  • Timing: Successful applicants from the phone interview stage will be invited for a face-to-face interview.
  • Format: This is typically a panel interview with director and may have a member of committee as well.  r.
  • Questions: Expect competency-based questions, as well as scenario-based questions about handling children’s behavior, team collaboration, and safeguarding.
  • Length: The interview may take 45 minutes to 1 hour.

3. Selection Criteria

  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both children and adults.
  • Experience in a childcare setting (even volunteer work is highly valued).
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.
  • A commitment to following the rules and policies that promote a safe environment.

This process may vary slightly depending on the role, but overall, we aim to make the experience transparent and encouraging for applicants, especially those just starting in their careers!
