Position Vacant: Green Wall Maintenance & Installation Technician
Location: Greater Sydney
Hours: Full Time – 4 Days Per Week / Casual Positions

The primary role of a Green Wall Maintenance & Installation Technician for Vertikal Design (Vertikal) is to install and provide ongoing maintenance of Vertikal’s green wall installations across the greater Sydney metropolitan area.

All necessary tools required to perform the requirements of the role and a fully paid-for company vehicle with fuel card and mobile phone will be provided to the successful applicant. On-the-job training and professional development will also be provided by Vertikal.

The Green Wall Maintenance & Installation Technician role reports directly into the NSW Project Manager.

Duties and responsibilities within the role are as follows;

• Strong communication skills – both internally and externally with existing Vertikal clients.
• Attention to detail, and pride in your work.
• Weekly reporting of issues and matters that effect Vertikal.
• On-time submission of reports internally.
• Maintenance of existing green wall installations across both residential and commercial environments.
• Site visits to both residential and commercial sites across the greater Sydney catchment area.
• Previous irrigation skills and know-how would be advantageous.
• Basic plant knowledge, and the ability to understand the life cycle replacement required, will also be advantageous.
• On-site risk assessment, risk management and OHS requirements.
• Immediate reporting of any on-site risks, injuries or complications concerning yourself, or any other Vertikal staff member.
• Professional, courteous and prompt verbal and written communication with clients and construction teams.
• The know-how to troubleshoot issues and problem-solve is key.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• A current and valid White Card, and full Australian Driver’s License are essential.
• Any working at heights permits/certification / IRATA ropes training capabilities would be a great asset.
