Kitchen Prep Hand - TAFE Students Preferred (Start ASAP)

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in preparing meals, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area, and ensuring that all food hygiene standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the kitchen staff in preparing meals, including washing and chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.
• Follow recipe guideline to weigh up raw vegetables
• Ensuring that all food hygiene standards are met, including monitoring food temperatures and storing food correctly.
• Following kitchen procedures and health and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience using knife
• Have general knowledge of vegetables and be able to process them
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy items between 15kgs to 20 kgs
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
