Who are we?

SCECS is a not-for-profit, operating high-quality Preschool, Long Day Care and Out of School Hours Care services within the Sydney Archdiocese. Providing high-quality education and care programs and delivered by qualified and passionate Educators. SCECS caters for children and families within our Catholic schools and operates in close partnership with the local Catholic school and Parish community.

Recruitment Process

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Ensuring all children are 'actively' supervised at all times
  • Assist in implementing and providing a diverse and stimulating program that matches the developmental needs of the children
  • Ensuring safe food handling and hygiene practices are upheld at all times
  • Developing and fostering positive relationships with parents, caregivers, children and other key stakeholders
  • Assist in establishing daily routines and creating appropriate rules and boundaries for children to encourage positive behaviour
  • Encourage and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness of program premises and facilities.

Qualifications are highly desirable.

Long Day Care

To be successful you will have

  • Minimum Certificate III
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a childcare environment
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, Child Protection, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework

Approved Child Protection Course
