Recruitment Process

Criteria:

The successful candidates should possess but are not limited to the following:

Essential:

Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly and/or people with disability who may have challenging behaviour
Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate IV in Home and Community Care or equivalent
Evidence of good communication skills, including basic skills in written and spoken English
Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
Basic computer knowledge or skills
First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
Current driver's license, good driving record
A reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
Smart Phone with internet access
National Police Clearance
Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency

Desirable:

Previous experience caring for the elderly or people with disability
Experience in dementia care
Fluent in written and spoken English or other languages if necessary
Qualifications &/or experience working with culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations.
