What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
The starting salary and super for a graduate is about standard compared to other companies. Depending on company performance and the specific contract you signed, you can receive a bonus at the end of the financial year.
Graduate, Perth - 18 Sep 2024
The pay for grads is quite low and hasn't increased in at least 3-4 years despite the high rates of inflation in the past few years.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I think the pay is slightly low for the hours expected sometimes.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2024
I think the pay can be competitive. but it depends what area you begin focusing on (as in sector / capability). If you were to wholly focus on one sector / capability that nous offers, the pay could be more competitive if you simply went into that industry.
Graduate, Melbourne - 28 Aug 2024
Relative to our competitors (Big 4), my company pays significantly more at the graduate level. There is also an opt-in bonus scheme which is contingent on personal and company performance.
Graduate, Melbourne - 28 Feb 2023
The pay is fairly standard for a grad role which is expected but the bonus I'm sure will change my attitude lol.
Graduate, Darwin - 27 Feb 2023
Very reasonable and multiple options given for salary.
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Feb 2023
Nous pays above Big 4 + Accenture who are our general competitors but well behind other T2 + MBB consulting firms. The higher amount of Nous pay compared to big 4 goes away once at manager level.
Graduate, Sydney - 23 Feb 2023
I think Nous pays well and is competitive with most other comparable organisations. It offers slightly below one or two competitors but generally very good.
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Feb 2023
I'm happy with my salary, although I've heard it's less than some other consulting firms I think the culture, the quality of the work, and the opportunities to learn and develop more than make up for it. It's also more than my previous job and competitive with other entry level roles. We have an optional bonus structure, and I haven't been here long enough yet to have my bonus. So you either have full bonus (lower salary and high bonus), half bonus (medium salary and medium bonus) or no bonus (high salary) option. The amount of bonus varies depending on your level and your performance.
Graduate, Melbourne - 03 Jan 2023
pay and bonuses are good
Graduate, Perth - 10 Jan 2019
Our bonus system is great. I think our grad salaries could be improved, as they do not recognise prior working experience - all grads start at the same rate.
Graduate, Canberra - 07 Jan 2019
The bonus structure is great however the entry level pay is low.
Graduate, Perth - 03 Jan 2019
As a grad I think the pay is great! There is a cool bonus scheme here too which I am yet to experience but I hear it is often very good!
Graduate, Canberra - 03 Jan 2019
Generally happy with the salary. It is higher than big4 consulting, and lower than 'MBB consulting (although MBB consulting requires double the hours...). Bonus is generous and provided equally to all employees, regardless of level.
Midlevel, Sydney - 10 Dec 2018
Bonuses are incredibly generous. The grad salary is a little low (perhaps 5-10%)
Graduate, Melbourne - 07 Dec 2018
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Nous has generous parental leave, working from home equipment reimbursement, flexible working hours, and annual Nous Days (paid for celebration/conference).
Graduate, Perth - 18 Sep 2024
The only extra perk is recharge leave which is leave that you can take after really busy periods of working.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I don't know of any perks.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2024
Recharge leave - if you have been working long hours recently and need some time to recharge. Monthly breakfast - for our office meeting WFH expense payment - added to your pay every month Leave of absence - able to take a leave of absence for up to 1 year Nous days - company wide two day event where we have a dinner, discuss the year ahead etc (the Brissie office was flown down to Melbourne for the recent Nous days in July)
Graduate, Brisbane - 27 Aug 2024
Flexible working and no minimum time spent in office.
Graduate, Melbourne - 28 Feb 2023
The travel allowance is more money than i know how to spend which is great.
Graduate, Darwin - 27 Feb 2023
WFH expenses reimbursed, and lots of food and drinks offered
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Feb 2023
Best perks are the work events and functions held.
