Northern Rivers Housing is an independent, local, not-for-profit housing provider managing quality long-term social and affordable housing across the North Coast of New South Wales, from Tweed Heads to Clarence Valley. Appointed by the NSW Government, Northern Rivers Housing oversees the management of the region's first temporary housing villages, established in response to the displacement caused by the February and March 2022 floods. These villages, located on crown land sites, consist of modular homes and caravans, aiming to provide homes for the Northern Rivers NSW community. Northern Rivers Housing ensures village management, allocations, tenancies, support services, activities, ground works, maintenance, cleaning, and security, striving to create a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for residents as they rebuild their lives
