About NASCA

NASCA is a national not-for-profit organisation that has been transforming the lives of thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians since 1995. While having a history of community development through sport and recreation, NASCA now works across all aspects of a young person's development including education, the creative arts, health, and wellbeing. We engage with Aboriginal young people to improve school attendance and ultimately school performance, develop specific career pathways and work-ready skills, strengthen cultural pride and identity by building life skills, personal development and long-term resilience.

We serve over 30 communities in NSW and the NT, empowering over 2,000 First Nation young people to thrive at school and beyond. NASCA has a passionate team of 50 staff and 30+ volunteers located across NSW & the NT. Our working environment is engaging, fun and flexible.

Aboriginal culture and identity are at the heart of what we do.

About the role

The People Lead (Recruitment and Learning) supports our Managers across the organisation with recruitment, onboarding, induction, learning and development, performance management and team wellbeing. The role also supports the Operations Director in providing other HR functions.

The ideal applicant will be degree-qualified, have experience in providing recruitment and generalist HR services, be an excellent communicator, be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background or have experience working with First Nations peoples.

If you're eager to make an impact with NASCA and in the Australian community, join us - full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days equivalent).

For more information about the role, view the Job Pack at www.nasca.org.au/get-involved/work-with-us/ and check out our stories on the socials at Instagram and Facebook.
