The Position

Miele is strongly committed to investing in our employees and providing opportunities for career growth. With this in mind, we are currently looking for a Field Service Apprentice to join our Service division.

We will provide you with:

• Extensive on the job training under the supervision of qualified technicians
• Fully funded Certificate III in Appliance Servicing or a state equivalent course
• Attainment of Disconnect/Reconnect Electrical Licence following completion of the Certificate III
• Upon successful completion, an opportunity for ongoing employment within our Service Division as a Miele Field Service Technician
• Laptop, phone, tools, instruments, uniform all provided
• Access to company vehicles on an as-required basis

Within this role you will:

• Assist Miele Technicians as directed in a professional manner
• Carry out customer service repairs at customer premises under the supervision
• Carry out customer service repairs in the workshop.
• Conduct refurbishment/repair of the returned product, in an efficient manner achieving KPI targets, set
• Stock control tasks for field and warehouse
• Complete accurate paperwork necessary for all workshop and field repairs
• Requirements of the role include:
• Skilful in the proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 5-10kg
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to squat/crouch for extended periods of time
• Ability to push/pull weights in excess of 100kg

Qualifications:

• Pre-apprenticeship courses are preferable
• Completed at least Year 11 schooling
• Sound knowledge of domestic appliance parts and the service industry would
• be advantageous.
• Electrical trades experience required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, excellent time management skills.
