The Opportunity 

The successful candidates will either have some experience in mechanical engineering or are in their third or fourth year of completion. You will commence working a day shift position and if successful, there is a possibility for permanent day shift and rotating shift positions. 

In return, you will be exposed to and supported with: 

  • Undertaking mechanical maintenance activities as directed by a trade qualified Fitter to best ensure the long-term reliability of mechanical equipment and control systems.
  • Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling, and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment.
  • Assisting with day-to-day mechanical equipment issues
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and fault-finding various mechanical equipment issues onsite to minimise machine downtime.
  • Liaising and working closely with planning and store personnel to ensure that parts and equipment are available when required to avoid delay and improve task execution.
  • ​Preparing repair work quotations, associated documentation, and scheduling of jobs for repair.
  • Working with production and finishing teams to improve communication and interaction between operators and maintenance/engineering personnel.

  • Commitment to on and off-the-job training
  • A willingness to learn and work within a team environment
  • Strong commitment to EHS
  • Strong troubleshooting and strong analytical skills
  • SAP or similar CMMS experience is desirable
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • ​Driver's licence and a reliable vehicle would be preferred
