About us

We are Inventia Life Science and we are radically changing the way the world treats disease and injury. We're a multidisciplinary team, deeply inspired by the purpose of innovating for the better and backed by top-tier venture capital funds. We are now looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team.

The current team of Inventurers sits at just under 60. Our revolutionary 3D digital bioprinting technology enables pioneers in the fields of drug discovery and medicine to radically drive innovation from disease treatment (in areas such as cancer) through to the way we treat injuries.

The role

We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. This permanent role sits within the Operations function of Inventia Life Science, interfacing with the Manufacturing, Life Sciences and Engineering Practices. The Laboratory Technician will work closely with the Facility Operations Manager to ensure the laboratory operations and equipment maintenance runs smoothly.

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline or TAFE IV certificate in laboratory techniques
  • Experience in managing equipment maintenance, stock and inventory management (desirable)
  • Experience working in a PC1/PC2 facility and familiarity with cell culture techniques (desirable)
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Able to work primarily from our Sydney-based office

Our culture

We highly value our culture, diversity and the passion we have for taking our product to market. A lot of companies talk about their culture, but not many live it the way we do. We place a high value on creating a unique and exceptional workplace. Unlike many other startups, we live and breathe work-life balance.

Our passions are many and we believe the journey is as important as the outcome. So for us, it's about building the best team and culture and loving every aspect of what lays ahead. We provide optionality in terms of working from home and the office, which is based in Sydney. Equity and a strong market based salary are on offer, within a supportive but empowered, fully agile environment, which we have worked hard to create. We value our people above all, and will support you working the way that you can be most successful in your role.

Come and do work that really matters within a team who care as much about one another as the mission.

Next steps

If the above sounds like what you’ve been searching for, let’s start a conversation. We also strongly encourage you to apply even if you are not sure you fit all of the criteria we’ve mentioned. Come as you are - we believe that diversity drives innovation.
