Butchery Apprenticeship – Certificate III in Meat Processing

As the Apprentice Butcher, you will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills within the Butchery industry assisting in the below tasks, but not limited to:

  • Working closely with the team to learn all aspects of a becoming a successful butcher
  • Provide exceptional service to our valued customers
  • Ensuring that meat recipes are followed properly during preparation
  • Undertake general duties assigned by the Butcher
  • Cut, trim and shape standard cuts of meat to size
  • Assemble and operate mincers, grinders, mixers, patty-forming or sausage forming machines
  • Applicants must have prior Butchery experience.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to work as an apprentice or trainee in NSW you must either have:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Australian Permanent Residency
  • New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
