Do you want to work for one of Australia's most innovative health and aged care providers?
Join a team that offers a wide range of services, including specialised dementia care and palliative care. Services are offered where and when people need them – in residential aged care homes, people's own homes, hospitals, the community and clinics.
By joining an independent Christian charity, you'll have the freedom to take an innovative and compassionate approach to your work. You'll be part of a team that strives to lead rather than follow.
With our unique model of care which places the resident's needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal and domestic support within the residential home.
Our Cottage style homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia. You will be running the cottage like a home, which will include:
To apply for a role, you will need to complete an online application that includes your resume and a cover letter to highlight your experience.
Their Talent Acquisition Team will then assess all applications and select a shortlist of candidates for the role.
Interviews
If your application is successful, a Talent Specialist will conduct a phone interview. You'll usually be asked what you're looking for in your new role and about your experience to make sure you meet the criteria for the position. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions.
If your phone interview is successful, you'll be invited to a face-to-face interview. You'll be given a full overview of HammondCare and an opportunity to discuss your work history and suitability for the role. For some positions, you may also need to complete an online assessment.
Pre-Employment Checks
Once you've made it through the interview process, they'll contact the two work references you provided. As an aged care organisation, they'll need to do a criminal history check.
If you're on a VISA, they'll also do a VEVO check. If you're applying for a care role, you may need an assessment to ensure you can meet the physical requirements of the role. Some roles may also require an NDIS screening check.
