We are recruiting on behalf of well known Before and After School Hours Care NFP provider who is committed to quality, supporting and building the capacity of its team. They are dedicated to offering rewarding careers with challenging work and many opportunities to train, learn and grow and have 11 successful OSHC programs in the Sydney Inner and outer Western suburbs and Hills district.

Positions available across two locations; Burwood and Russell Lea for a passionate OSHC Assistant Director with experience in leading teams, supporting programs and building strong relationships with families and the community.

Provided with your own dedicated play space the program is based on structured activities as well as child-directed play opportunities for children to explore, experiment and engage with each other and have fun.

  • You will be a go-getter and carry a strong focus on providing high-quality education, support and leadership within the service to build partnerships with families and the community as a KEY focus of your role.

Reporting to the Nominated Supervisor you will be provided with the autonomy, support and resources to succeed in the role. With support from head office and the Operations Manager, a key focus of your role will be on building strong relationships with the community, your team and the children and families you support.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • To be an engaging and effective leader, who will be positive, flexible and adaptable
  • Completed training in Child Protection and First Aid is mandatory
  • Be accountable as the educational leader
  • You will also be computer literate
  • Hold a Diploma in OOSH/and or Children's Services or working towards qualifications
  • Have previous experience working in OSHC and leading and inspiring teams
  • Having knowledge of the My Time, Our Place Framework and implementing an educational OSHC program is also essential.
  • This is a Part-time role working 30hrs a week across split shifts. The program operates between 7-9 am and 3-6 pm. Hours during vacation care periods will be conducted across different programs.
