Gardening4u is a small boutique business with a number of years of experience in assisting people with their beloved gardens. Gardening4u takes pride in having attention to detail especially when it comes to weeds, pests and diseases and plant recommendations especially using drought-tolerant plants.
We care for our planet by using low noise equipment and organic products. The main horticulturist has a background in permaculture and has a strong belief in making our garden more sustainable ie.: having chickens, worm farms, making your own compost etc.
We provided services in the north shore and inner west suburbs of Sydney.
Applications and cover letters will be reviewed and appropriate candidates will be chosen. The main criteria sought would be: experience with gardening/studying horticulture/landscaping or having completed one of these. An energetic person who is enthusiastic and has a good work ethic.
Normally face to face interviews would be offered as this is a way to get more information from the applicant if face to face is not possible a telephone interview is another way to do screening of the applicants. Once the desired candidates are chosen, a job trial would give us the opportunity to see the skills and personality of the prospective employee as well as a great way to make the final decision of the ideal person to work for gardening4u. The trial would be about 3 hours minimum.
Successful applicants will be flexible with hours and be able to problem-solve
Gross salary for casual hours minimum 8 per week would be @ $12,000 per year to start
