What We Offer:
See our Philosophy Below
At Explore and Develop Brookvale, we believe the best care is consistent care.
It is through play and collaboration that we aim to provide a thinking space, that nourishes a culture of research, inclusion, emotional intelligence, and diverse perspectives.
Our environments are designed with and for our community to feel like home. They are flexible and thought-provoking, inviting children to explore and calculate risks, be expressive and creative, to laugh and be joyful, lead hands-on investigations, and experience success; this ultimately contributes to a lifelong love of learning.
As parents, you are your child's first teacher, and we value the partnership we have with you to care for, support and challenge your child. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace, with emphasis on the process of learning, not the end product. Our established partnerships with allied health professionals support us to make informed decisions, in line with current research, that best supports children's development and in turn support families.
To be better people for our planet is central to our sustainable practices. We aim to fulfil an active leading role in the environmental education of children, embedding this into our daily practices. (See sustainability philosophy).
An integral part of our ethos at Explore and Develop Brookvale is developing children's understanding and connection to our First Nations Peoples, and their ways of being and knowing. We stand today on Gayamaygal Land and we strive for the children in our care to understand and appreciate this (see RAP).
At the heart of our community is a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about early childhood education, research and advocacy. We respect our educators for their individuality, professional opinions, their adaptability, and flexibility to change and evolve in the fluid climate that we now live in.
