Engadine Gumnuts is owned and operated by sisters, Allyson O'Keefe and Kim Maher, who are also the Directors available on the premises daily. We became owners of Gumnuts in 2006, and have since developed a very close-knit family within the Gumnut walls, that extends out into the wider community and beyond.

Gumnuts is lucky to have access to our beautiful natural environment, incorporating our indoor and outdoor environments together into the children's day. We spend many spontaneous opportunities in the park next door and even enjoy rest time on our beds outdoors in the Autumn and Spring. Our excursion during the year includes visits to the Rural Fire Brigade and a play in the park at Fern Tree, along with a visit to the tram museum, which takes us into the National Park.

Gumnuts supports our local community and businesses through excursions and incursions, such as regular visits to the residents of John Paul Village, community walks and visits from Multicultural shows and Aboriginal elders. We also support inclusion and diversity, through supporting Assistance Dog, Bear Cottage (children respite care) and welcoming a wide variety of people with different abilities into our centre for the children to engage with.
