DSA's priority is the well-being of our participants. Founded by parents of people with a disability, we have 60 years of experience putting our participants at the centre of everything we do.
Our team comprise of people from all backgrounds who provide a high level of service to our participants in a way that preserves their independence, dignity and choice.
Every day we get to see the impact of our work.
Our recruitment process varies slightly depending on the role typically:
For our Support Workers, having good availability is helpful.
Each of our houses has different requirements, some are suitable for people with no experience, other houses require demonstrated experience supporting people with behaviours that challenge service providers or high medical needs.
Support Workers are paid under the SCHADS Award.
At DSA we believe in lifelong learning and career progression. We offer on the job training and development as well as more formal options through METS, our RTO.
Where possible we aim to promote our Support Workers into House Manager positions. This isn't always possible for more complex houses.
