Day-to-day responsibilities in a legislation role are varied. I have worked with policy areas to progress legislation amendments which includes developing drafting instructions, working with the legislation drafters to ensure drafting meets the policy intent, and developing supporting materials/Cabinet materials for the proposed amendments. I have also been involved in assessing the impact of proposed legislation amendments from other departments on our legislation.

Project management of ongoing road construction projects. Primarily deal with communication between all internal and external stakeholders for the project. Chase up / run down ongoing issues with the project

Civil engineering analysis, contract and TMR Asset management

Project manager and assisting project managers in delivering project proposals and business cases for high level planning for active transport and public transport.

Invoice payment, contract management

The TMR graduate program has allowed me to rotate and gain exposure to different teams and environments within the department, enabling me to develop a wide range of skills and experiences. Currently, I have been working at RoadTek within the Maintenance team and have been involved in various small maintenance projects, including guardrail repair. I have assisted the Project Manager in preparing cost estimates for guardrail repair and upgrading to meet current standards. We are now in the process of procuring subcontractors for the guardrail repair and upgrade.

Day-to-day role includes working with more senior engineers to work on multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects and the processes of planning these projects and they impacts on the local and wider community.

Currently, I'm in the policy and planning team. One of my day-to-day responsibilities is championing the FPP register. Ensuring that all procurement activities are up-to-date before the reviewal and approval stages. That way all information is correct so that suppliers identify what future projects TMR will undergo so they could plan, prepare and tender for the projects.

Maintaining and managing South coast electrical assets daily with safety as the utmost priority for commuters. Engaging with external and internal contractors daily to ensure ongoing projects are of the best quality

I'm assigned work that is just beyond my capability, encouraging me to learn and apply myself, as well as work that is within my comfort. This balance works well for me.

At the workplace, you can acquire knowledge while actively contributing to projects that hold significance for the community. Incredibly fulfilling!

I currently have the opportunity to work in higher duties for an AO4 role and I am enjoying it so much, keeping me more busy than the grad role which has given me the opportunity to accrue time.

Assisting team members in the delivery of options analyses, business cases, and other work regarding Translink network infrastructure.

I feel like this will improve as I work more/ become full time.

I am doing some interesting research and am learning how to do environmental assessment report.

Organisational Development - I aid in the application of psychological theories and principles within the Digital and Business Transformation landscape.

I work at the moment on crash investigations and Customer Communication Tools (CCT), solving questions from customers.
