Cubby College Childcare Centre is looking for an exceptional passionate and enthusiastic Educator for our exciting and family-friendly purpose-built 56 place centre in Concord, catering from 6weeks to 6years. The curriculum is designed to engage Children with both indoor and outdoor stimulating environments to capture their imagination with Educators who are highly skilled and experienced. Essential Criteria

  • One of the following: Early Childhood Teacher qualified or working towards (casual, Cert III, Diploma or working towards Degree in Early Childhood)
  • A Working With Children Check
  • Current First -Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
  • Sound knowledge and current understanding of the NQS and NF.
  • Ability to work in partnership with families.
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Child Protection legislation and mandatory duties
  • Co-facilitate the successful implementation of the QIP.
  • Support the team in ensuring the physical environment complies with the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
  • Support room colleagues to ensure the completion of the daily, weekly and monthly duties to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment that is welcoming to all.
  • Always act within the guidelines set out in the Code of Ethics.
  • Commitment to excellence in early childhood
  • A creative and cooperative team player.
  • Experience documenting learning outcomes.
  • Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care.

Duties

  • Create a stimulating, positive and appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environment to foster and support development
  • Set up resources to provide a range of experiences that will further develop the child's fine and gross motor skills
  • Create an environment that allows children to express themselves socially and emotionally.
  • Provide one on one and group time activities that include singing, role-playing, storytelling etc. that is rich in language development
  • Carry out child observations and evaluations to identify concerns or signs that require further support or follow up
  • Observe, identify and document child protection issues that pose a risk to a child's health and wellbeing
  • Communicate child/ren progress with parents during pick up, drop off and during parent/teacher meetings
  • Conduct and or attend parent interviews, network meetings and staff meetings
  • Attend community and family support programs as required
  • Respect and provide support and inclusion for all children and families.
  • Communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis
  • Collect, record and evaluate children's records and observations, as required by the Department of Education and Communities and NQS
  • Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and meal times
  • Respond to the emotional needs of the children
  • Become familiar with all families; greet all families on a personal basis
