Construction Materials Testing Technician (Entry-level) - TAFE Students preferred null

About the role

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Coffey Testing Sydney & Newcastle team who are vital in ensuring the quality and safety of the construction materials used in some of New South Wales's largest rail, mining and infrastructure projects.

These roles involve:

• Undertaking a variety of manual tasks in a laboratory and field environment, including preparing and testing soil & concrete samples;
• Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with industry standards (AS1289, AS1141);
• Ensuring accuracy of tests results and timely output of work; and
• Undertaking quality assurance checks, ensuring all equipment is maintained and calibrated.

About you

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following criteria:

• Has an understanding of construction materials testing and displays a keen interest to join the industry;
• Knowledge of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements;
• Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety;
• Has the ability to work autonomously and displays a level of self-motivation;
• Can work effectively under pressure, prioritising work to meet client demands; and
• Is physically fit and able to perform a manual labor-intensive role which includes heavy lifting.
