Employment Opportunities - City of Newcastle (nsw.gov.au)

Recruitment Process

All candidates must apply via our job portal to be deemed an eligible candidate. Once the candidate application is submitted, it will take a few weeks after the closing date to determine whether or not you have progressed to interview stage. If there are multiple positions advertised, an assessment centre may be conducted rather than a 1:1 interview.

Interviews are typically conducted in person, however, online is optional for those that cannot make it in-person and is sometimes even the preference of the hiring manger. Some roles require a medical too. This will occur if you have been identified as a preferred candidate.
