The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Graduate to join our Cargill Agriculture & Supply Chain (CASC) team for 12 months of exciting professional development, travel and learning with impactful projects.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Supply Chain Graduate role is a newly created role, where you will undertake a number of different roles throughout the Cargill Australia business, gaining a wide understanding of the end to end grain supply chain in which Cargill operates. Spending time across the Grain storage & Handling, oil processing, origination, trading, sales and marketing and supply chain areas of the business will be a great start to your career in the agriculture supply chain. 

Key Accountabilities

Operations & Processing

  • Weighbridge, Road and Rail operations
  • Grain sampling, fumigation and grain storage importance
  • Oil Manufacturing processes and systems

Origination / Sales & Marketing

  • Grower interface, communications & pricing
  • Cargill specialty and sales programs
  • Consumer pricing
  • Customer service

Trading

  • Trading international and domestic markets
  • Commodity specific trading
  • Trading forecasts and analytics 

Supply Chain

  • Domestic supply chain execution 
  • Export supply chain execution 
  • Ordering and system 
  • Understanding of how ports work 
  • Trade Execution & international documentation 
  • Shipping stems 
  • Sourcing and contract negotiation 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Economics, Accounting, Agriculture or a Business discipline; 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and tasks daily 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Competent  with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook); 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, desirable 
  • Systemic approach to problem solving and decision making  
  • Ability to set priorities and organise work 
  • Strong communication, listening and presentation skills 
  • Open to change and continuous improvement focused 
  • Team oriented mindset 
  • To be able to work under pressure and in fast changing environment
