Cammeray Children’s Centre boasts a rich and illustrious history that spans back several decades. Its inception, approximately thirty-five years ago, marked the genesis of an occasional care service. This visionary initiative was launched by a group of civic-minded parents who astutely recognized the demand for early childhood care and education within the local community. The ongoing stewardship of the Centre remains under the purview of a parent management committee, diligently upholding the operational framework of this community-centric, not-for-profit entity.
Originally situated on the premises of the All Saints Church, the Centre has since transitioned its location to the Kendall Community Centre—a venue imbued with its own captivating narrative of communal gatherings and engagement.
Operating throughout four days each week, from Tuesdays to Fridays, the Centre observes a temporary closure during the Christmas holiday period.
