Bondi Beach Cottage is a not-for-profit community organisation, established in 1984. Our centre caters to both permanent and casual care children aged 0 – 5 years.

About us

Bondi Beach Cottage is a not-for-profit community organisation, established in 1984. Our centre caters for both permanent and casual care children aged 0 – 5 years.

Our centre has a family-run daycare feel, with the security of centre-based care. Our children are predominantly 0-3 years, with 20 children total each day together in one room, dividing into separate spaces for age-appropriate activities when required.

The Opportunity

As one of our educators, you will have the chance to assist in the development, planning, and implementation of a quality childcare education program based on your knowledge of each child, their interests, and goals through family input and in line with the EYLF & NQS.

You will be creating a stimulating, positive and nurturing environment to foster and support each child’s development and will be communicating positively and openly with children and their families on an ongoing basis.

You will be providing physical care assisting children in their daily routines and meal time, as well as responding to their emotional needs.

Our team creates a fun, professional, and supportive environment, and you will be part of this, maintaining up-to-date records for each child within the group and working together to ensure the best possible programs and highest quality care for all children.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Certificate 3 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (or willing to obtain)
  • A current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate (or willing to obtain one)
  • A Current Working with Children’s check
  • COVID vaccination certificate
  • The ability to work positively within a team.
  • A highly motivated, flexible, and reliable attitude.
  • A desire to become a part of a strong, passionate team of educators.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Salary

  • The salary displayed is calculated annually based on working normal hours (21.85 AUD/hr, 40hrs per week, 52 weeks in a year)
  • Remuneration is based on Children’s Services Award
  • We will pay according to the applicant's qualifications as per the award
  • Salary is subject to change depending on the hours worked
