Occasional Childcare

Bondi Beach Cottage Inc. is a not-for-profit community organisation based in the heart of Bondi since 1984. They provide a range of family services to support their community. They are a registered charitable organisation, so any donations gratefully received are fully tax deductable.

Bondi Beach Cottage Occasional Childcare Centre provides care for up to 20 children per day.

They maintain low ratios (1 educator to 4 children) giving highly individualised care and attention to each child.

They cater for children aged 0 – 5 years.

Their small centre has a family day care feel with the security of centre based care.

They offer both casual and permanent care, with both half days ( $63.00 – 4 hours, $69.00 – 5 hours) or full days ($106.00) available to work around your schedule.

All their staff are trained educators with a minimum certificate 3 qualifications.

Family Support Services

Bondi Beach Cottage offers 10 free sessions of trauma-informed and/or trauma specialist counselling to adult women subjected to DFV.

This includes women at any stage of recovery:  those wanting to understand more about DFV and their relationship; women ending and/or planning to end abusive relationships; women struggling to cope with impacts after ending abusive relationships (including navigating post-separation abuse); and, women who want to (re) connect to their lives and community after escaping abusive relationships.

Casework support is offered to women within the context of the counselling relationships.

Bondi Beach Cottage also has a limited offering of generalist counselling to women in the Waverley LGA who cannot otherwise afford or access counselling services.

All counselling is free and confidential and women do not need a Medicare card.

Free Occasional Child Care for children 0-5 years may be provided to carers while attending sessions (only available for immunized children with a birth certificate or passport).

Clients may be offered face–to–face or telehealth service depending on client needs and counselling resources available.

All sessions are by appointment only; they do not offer a drop–in service.

They are a member of DVNSW and work closely with them in regard to meeting DFV standards. Their counsellors are accredited/registered practitioners with AASW, PACFA or APS.
