Australian Plastic Profiles / Pipe King Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of PVC pressure pipes, fittings, profiles and conduits for the building and telecommunications industries. The group has been operating for fifty years and is proudly Australian owned and managed. The company has a national presence with production centred in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire. 

The Role

  • Liaising with the Project Engineering Manager daily to prioritise and plan jobs.
  • Assisting with identifying the parts required for new works and re-builds and pass on to purchasing office to order.
  • Assisting with and organizing external contractors to carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the entire site and working with them on specific jobs.
  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical re-builds to equipment throughout the entire site.
  • Carrying out Easter and Christmas shutdowns.
  • Assisting, Calibration paperwork/documentation. 
  • Updating of machinery documentation when a machine has moved or been changed/modified in any way.
  • Liaising with all department heads and other staff in organizing project works as necessary.

About You

  • Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance fitter or manufacturing projects environment.
  • Fitter, Electrician or relevant trade or engineering qualification is essential.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving. 
  • Commitment to excellent WHS standards and practice.

Work experience
