Recruitment Process

Australian Plastic Profiles (APP) employs a wide range of trades, professional and administrative staff. The Sydney manufacturing centre requires general production machine operators and warehouse staff and a wide range of tradespeople including fitters, electricians, toolmakers, die setters, mechatronics fitters and plumbers. The administration and production management centres also include financial specialists, engineers, salespeople and general clerical staff.

When candidates respond to an advertised position and have provided a relevant resume and brief cover letter which expresses their interest in the position, they will receive a response within two weeks advising whether their application will proceed in the process. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email or phone to arrange an initial interview. The initial interview may be held in person or online, depending on the candidate's location with the Human Resources Manager. In person interview's are preferred.  Secondary in person interviews are usually required for trade or technical roles as they may also include a section manager or other senior manager. A practical trial will also be required for some roles to ascertain the candidate's skill level within their area of qualification.
