Designing the Transport Systems of Tomorrow: Through smart planning and collaboration, we work with our clients to make the right choices for their transport needs, finding effective and sustainable strategies that help communities thrive.

WSP has extensive experience in all aspects of urban and regional transport planning, growth management and the creation and maintenance of civic infrastructure.

The Intern positions will be offered on a part-time basis during your university semester and full-time during the calendar breaks.

Through our internship program, we offer an opportunity to experience consulting work in a project delivery context. Training provided will include:

  • Exposure to responsibilities expected of an engineering consultant. Skills, practical experience and knowledge that is transferable to other employment settings
  • Clearly defined learning objectives related to your academic coursework and goals
  • Mentorship, supervision, guidance, and feedback from a professional engineer
  • Resources, equipment, and facilities that support learning objectives

What we are looking for

We would expect applicants to have most or if not all the following attributes:

  • Someone who can demonstrate a clear passion for Advisory, Planning and modelling work in the Transport Industry.
  • A current student in an associated discipline, preferably your final year or penultimate year.
  • A person who has a good level of technical capability to assist with calculations and modelling exercises.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suites
  • An individual who has excellent presentation, grammar, and writing skills
