We are prominent oil recycling facility renowned for its excellence in engineering innovation and technical proficiency.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a recent graduate Chemical Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for measuring and tracking the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our Refinery processes. 

To be successful in your application, we require excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of professionalism. You will need to show abilities including but not restricted to the following:

  • Ensure deviations from performance standards and the facility operating envelope are captured and managed within the MOC System. 
  • Review and provide process support for emergent facility issues during shutdowns.
  • Lead Process and Integrity surveillance investigations to capture any emergent threats to production and facility integrity.
  • Collaborate and work with the Mechanical Engineering team during engineering design and management of projects.
  • Identify and pursue optimisation or improvement opportunities in the process area.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in process design and/or operations support for Oil & Chemical industries.
  • Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering 
  • Advanced data analysis and insights reporting skills 
  • Experience in computer software programs such as Aspen Hysys (Steady State & Dynamics) 
  • Strong consequence modelling and analysis skills 
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership potential is a must.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
