What's your job about?
Upon graduating from University, I was eager to find a consultancy role but hadn't considered the technology industry until I met the Velrada team at a career fair. After researching the company, I discovered that Velrada, a Microsoft partner, engages in a variety of exciting projects, which sparked my interest.
What's your background?
Outside of work, I enjoy playing sports, particularly badminton and running. I also love cooking, which I find similar to programming: combining different ingredients to create a dish. If the result isn't as expected, you can always adjust the proportions and try again."
What's the coolest thing about your job?
My first year at Velrada was a journey of discovery as I explored various specializations. I began with advisory work and soon encountered the leading Low Code Platform, Power Platform. With no prior programming experience, I found this to be a perfect starting point, as Velrada provided ample time and support for me to learn.
3 pieces of advice for yourself when you were a student...
Looking back, I would advise my past self to take even more initiative, such as volunteering for First Friday or Townhall presentations to build confidence. After three years in technology consulting, I recommend that future graduates focus equally on developing both hard and soft skills since the true value of a solution is realized only when it is designed to meet the user's needs effectively. As a Power Platform Consultant, I encourage graduates from non-IT backgrounds to explore this technology stack.
