Your role

UMA is looking for an Assistante Accountant to join their tight knit and high performing Finance team. UMA supports culture though the power of artistry and believe that every team within UMA plays a role in this unique and inspiring company vision. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will be fundamental in managing the accounts payable process and providing general support to the broader Finance team. They are open to considering graduates for this role. Whilst this isn’t your average ‘9-5’ role, they reward their people well with plenty of growth opportunities, amazing perks and a supportive team.

About the role:

  • Manage Accounts Payable function in conjunction with outsourced AP team. Including setup and review of payment runs, and ensuring integrity of AP transactions within ledger
  • Monitor SAP for allocation and coding of invoices
  • Contact suppliers directly when onshore support required
  • Ensure purchase orders are raised and approved in a timely manger
  • Prepare AP reports when required
  • Organise addition and removal of users to all accounting systems
  • Be the point of contact to provide training and support for new staff on financial systems
  • Provide generalist, admin support for month end process
  • Manage trust accounts (including reconciliations and timely payments)
  • Collate balance sheet reconciliations from team for managers review
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Assist with general reporting for Finance team
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

About you

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • +2 years’ experience in a commercial and high-volume processing environment
  • Open to recent graduates and candidates with less than 1 year experience
  • Systems aptitude (SAP is strongly preferred but not a dealbreaker!)
  • Strong learning agility and the ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
