Company

Our client is an internationally recognised viticultural machinery manufacturer and distributer. The company was founded nearly 50 years ago, opening an Adelaide office over 30 years ago to service the premium wine-producing region surrounding the capital city.

As their client base is expanding, our client is looking for an enthusiastic Diesel Fitter to join their tight-knit team based in Regency Park on the outskirts of the Adelaide CBD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct service & breakdown repair of machinery, both in-workshop, over the phone & face-to-face at customer sites
  • Advise customers of necessary repair service including quotes
  • Make preventative maintenance recommendations to customers
  • Participate in rotating on-call roster (particularly during vintage)
  • Demonstrate machinery & products at customer sites
  • Participate in in-service training programs

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Appropriate Australian Mechanical Fitter / Diesel Fitter qualifications or equivalent
  • Current & Valid Australian Driver’s License
  • Experience conducting fault finding on heavy machinery, particularly with hydraulic systems
  • Ability to conduct MIG/TIG Welding
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience working on-call rosters & overtime hours
