Located on the picturesque Grand Pacific Drive, 500 metres from the Seacliff Bridge, this historic venue is a multi-level hospitality venue encompassing a restaurant serving all-day-dining and event spaces used for workshop classes, celebrations and meetings.

The Imperial at Clifton opened in December 2021 following a full rebuild and has become a popular community and tourist destination.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for the best of the best!  A passionate and inspired foodie with exceptional leadership skills to join the team in the capacity of Sous Chef.

Reporting to the Head Chef, this is an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your creativity and passion for food, your ambition to lead and develop a team and to hone your leadership skills assisting the Head Chef.

YOU ARE:

  • A skilled professional with a proven track record as a Sous Chef in high-pressure environments.
  • Known for your hands-on approach, leading by example and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Trade qualified with a solid understanding of food safety standards.
  • Flexible and able to work a range of shifts across days, evenings and weekends.
  • Committed to excellence in food quality, presentation and customer satisfaction.
  • A natural problem solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated experience in executing successful events and functions is highly desirable.
