Outline of the role:

The purpose of the HR Team Volunteer is to support the P&C Division in operational administration tasks, processing and maintaining employee files, supporting volunteer recruitment and ad hoc support to the Learning & Development, Work Health & Safety and Projects teams.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Setting up employee files using our electronic filing system (Sharepoint).
  • Management of employee files including adding new paperwork, archiving previous employee files, and supporting with audit
  • Payroll filing
  • Administration of Monthly Recognition Program
  • Other adhoc and/or project work with the support of the People & Communications team
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Follow all Cancer Council health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report all known or observed hazards to Manager or Supervisor
  • Take reasonable care at work to ensure your own and others' safety

Our ideal volunteer will have:

  • Great attention to detail
  • Highly organised and works well independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word and Excel
  • Reliable and mindful of sensitive information
  • Have an interest in, or be working towards a career in Human Resources
