Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. YOUR ROLE

Working centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land you can expect to:

• Begin in the workshop and eventually progress to working on large Maritime vessels
• Remove, install & set work of various mechanical items, including diagnosis of faults
• Overhaul – strip, survey, repair and test various mechanical items such as pumps and valves
• Learn various plant operations, as well as shaft alignments
• Perform calculations and measurements with various instruments

YOUR EXPERIENCE

The most important attribute for the role is a great attitude and willingness to learn, but you will also need to:   

• Have completed year 10 studies at a minimum
• Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
• Be able to complete maths problems and put this to use in the workplace
• We welcome applications from adult apprentices as well as entry level
• Be able to commence in January 2025
