2023 Electronics Traineeship - TAFE Students preferred null

Being an Electronics Trainee at Thales, you’ll have a job that matters to us, to you and to everyone. Over our 4 year program you will have the chance to learn the technicalities of your trade at school and then apply this to a supportive environment whilst you learn on the job. What can you expect?

Working on naval vessels you will get experience repairing, installing, testing and commissioning a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment

You could find yourself:

• Performing fault analysis of commercial and military electrical/mechanical weapons equipment and systems
• Assisting in the installation of all types of naval equipment in shore and ship borne environments
• Assisting with the repairs of combat systems – think radars, navigation, fire control and communication systems

• Completion of Certificate III Electronics & Communications or Electrotechnology
• Demonstrated mechanical and/or technical aptitude
• Great communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
