Being an Electronics Trainee at Thales, you’ll have a job that matters to us, to you and to everyone. Over our 4 year program you will have the chance to learn the technicalities of your trade at school and then apply this to a supportive environment whilst you learn on the job. We can provide the challenges and opportunities, all you need to do is bring a willingness to learn!

What can you expect?

Working on naval vessels you will get experience repairing, installing, testing and commissioning a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment

You could find yourself:

  • Performing fault analysis of commercial and military electrical/mechanical weapons equipment and systems
  • Assisting in the installation of all types of naval equipment in shore and ship borne environments
  • Assisting with the repairs of combat systems – think radars, navigation, fire control and communication systems
