• Talk to clients and team members and always calmly communicate
• Triage patients
• Be comfortable with TPR, Blood pressure, ECG, Spo2 and ETCo2 monitoring
• Intubate anesthetised animals
• Position animals for diagnostic x-rays
• Calculate drug doses and administer under veterinary supervision
• Attend to the needs of critical patients
• Emergency nursing skills, familiar with shock therapy, hit-by-car cases and snake bite treatments
• You will also have a shown commitment to self-improvement through continuing education

Your Role will be:

• Early Career Qualified Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV required)
• Permanent Full-Time 38-hour role, 7-day week but no overnight work
• Reception Work – Customer service and communications
• Record keeping billing and ensuring accurate records are created
• Anaesthetic assistant
• Surgical assistance; scrubbing in when more than two hands are needed
• Laboratory Work and Medical nursing
• Remuneration based on skill with a rate range of $27-$30/hour depending on experience (with overtime paid at 150% for first 3 hours and then 200% thereafter) Saturday afternoon and Sunday rates will apply
