About the role…

Taronga Zoo Contact Centre is a small team that provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. We field both phone and email enquiries for all areas of the Zoo. Our Contact Centre is divided into four skillsets - General Enquiries, Accommodation, Zoo Friends and Tourism. We are looking for team members to join our team who are motivated, have a high level of customer service and have a good attention to detail when processing information and taking payments.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide professional, timely and consistent responses to customer enquiries from a number of channels including phone and email.
  • Create new bookings and service clients throughout the booking process, identifying opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell products and effectively communicate bookings and requirements.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and exceeded and that products are offered to match the customer’s requirements
  • Strong attention to detail when inputting information
  • Work well in a Contact Centre environment

About you

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet customer needs
  • Have a can-do attitude focusing on great customer service and building relationships.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one upon successful application)
  • In accordance with the requirements of this role, you will be required to work on a rotating roster which will include shifts from 8.45-5.30 pm, seven days a week, including one day on the weekend. (Tuesday – Saturday & Sunday – Thursday)
  • Experience with systems (such as Opera, Centaman, Outlook) is desirable, but not essential.
