The Why

At TAG, our company values matter. We appreciate our staff working as a Team, having Ambition and being Genuine. You will have a passion for the job you do, as well as a drive to want to do better – in return, TAG will support your growth and development, as well as offer opportunities to progress or maybe even change tack!

The What

As a Graduate Training Travel Specialist, you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:

  • Attend the TAG Academy Training schedule over 12 months, continuously progress within program objectives and develop an excellent understanding of the role. As part of the program, you will develop competency and understanding in the following areas, including but not limited to;
  • Accurately inputting data into TAG systems.
  • GDS Formats and SmartPoint in Galileo.
  • TAG PSP supplier program.
  • Booking processes for all services and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and professional service techniques to complete all travel requirements for TAG clients.
  • Develop excellent client and supplier relationships by providing expert knowledge, and guidance and offering the TAG dedicated service.
  • Manage travel requirements including, accommodation, travel, transfers, ancillary, promo, and meeting reservations for TAG’s valued clients.
  • Process bookings, amendments, and cancellations via multiple contact channels.
  • Provide a high level of assistance to the assigned department in all aspects of the management of client travel requirements.
  • Handle all delegated tasks within the given timeframes. Accurately and efficiently field all enquiries and requests from the team.
  • Take full responsibility for completing assessments, coursework, and practical tasks to grow within the role.

The How

To be successful at TAG is as much about mindset and attitude as it is about skill set and qualifications. We’re a team that shares the same desire and passion to go above and beyond for every client. As a Graduate Training Travel Specialist, some several credentials and attributes would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important.

  • BS or BA degree OR instead of education credentials, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Internship experience for a similar business/client (desirable).
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, to work in a pressurised and demanding environment, to work to agreed deadlines and be able to prioritise workload.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organised and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to accept instructions or directions and see through to completion.
  • Ability to multitask.

The Where and When

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based in our Sydney office. You will report to a Team Lead, who is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Queensland. There are other regional teams based in Singapore, the UK and the US that you may work closely with, too.

The Important Bit

As passionate as you may be about changing the face of travel, let’s be honest – you're not doing this for free. So, here’s our promise to you:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Wellness/EAP programme.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Career opportunities.
  • Company benefits.

We are also committed to offering an equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.

How to Apply

Send a cover letter outlining why you think TAG is a good fit for you and an up-to-date CV/resume to TAGAcademy@tag-group.com. And before you press send, please make sure you’re eligible to work in Australia!

What Comes Next

We will be in touch for a quick phone chat to discuss the role and see if it's the right fit for you. If so, we will arrange a face-to-face interview to meet the team and discuss this in more detail.

Candidates in the interview phase can expect to complete a short written assessment, covering logical thinking, numerical reasoning and attention to detail.
