The Prospect Water Filtration Plant is managed by SUEZ for our client Sydney Water for a 39-year contract that began in 1996. This is one of the largest water assets of its kind globally and it serves 85% of Sydney’s clean drinking water.

In this role, the successful applicant will undertake a Certificate III in Water Operations and a SUEZ training program to obtain a sound knowledge of plant operation and maintenance. Through this period you will be engaged with both the shift and the daily operation teams. The role is predominantly Monday to Friday 6.30 AM to 3.00 PM with one RDO per month. It is expected that certification will take two years to complete.

Some of the Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated contractor work groups who perform work on-site
  • Perform Isolations and Permitting as required by site procedures
  • Monitoring and operation of chemical systems including stock management and chemical transfer.
  • Verifying and calibrating online instrumentation to ensure process quality.
  • Assisting in Process optimization projects
  • Breakdown response
  • Completion of plant inspections and PM tasks
  • Perform maintenance administration including the accurate booking of parts and hours to work orders
  • Write, review, and improve work instructions and documentation for tasks
