Born and raised in Byron Bay, we're proudly local and independent, brewing and bottling fresh, approachable beer in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

Inspired by the idea of the 'village brewery' – that is, a brewery that brews quality beer while giving back to the wider community – Brad, Ross and Jamie founded Stone & Wood in a modest shed in Byron Bay's industrial estate and began following their vision of creating a conscious local business.

We believe that we can use business as a force for good - something we've contemplated from the beginning. For us, good means more than just the quality or the taste of the beer; it reflects how we fulfil our role as the local brewer and encapsulates how we work with the environment and give back to the community.

Of course, our team – local, national and international – make Stone & Wood what it is. A down-to-earth and diverse bunch who all share a love for beer, it's our mutual passion, values and community spirit that bind us together. Plus, thanks to being independent, our team are able to be shareholders in the business through our Employee Share Scheme – over 70% of us are shareholders.

Giving back to the community, working with purpose and the love of beer is what gets us out of bed in the morning. For us, that is the way it should be.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process is fairly straight forward. Once applications have closed we will filter through the applicants, with a few being chosen for first round interviews. If successful, our chosen candidates will then go through to second round interviews, meeting more of our crew and getting to know us and the role a bit better. From there, we will do reference checks and make a decision. We will keep you up to date during the whole process, letting you know our decisions as soon as we have made them.

Remuneration & Career Growth

Anyone who joins the S&W crew will be paid fairly and over and above award for the role they're recruited for.
