Work on di_erent projects and sometimes go on site visits

Designing and drafting using software as per the standard and specification for the subdivision projects. This includes earthworks, road works, stormwater drainage, sewer and water.

Data management, field work, report writing

My day-to-day responsibilities include doing tasks on other people's lists that they don't have time for because they have better things to do.

Training, making and modifying PFDs and P&ID's as well as other forms of technical design.

Contribute to the development of frameworks, reports, tools and plans for various aspects of the asset lifecycle: asset planning, asset acquisition, operations, maintenance, asset disposal. (e.g. risk assessments and needs analysis, capital prioritisation tools, business cases (including financial and non-financial analyses), strategic plans, operations procedures, maintenance plans, etc.). Undertake project tasks in accordance with task instructions and with the guidance of the project manager. Be responsible for management of individual project tasks assigned to you. Contribute to project teams and identify opportunities to develop junior staff. Undertake self-checking on work before providing to the Project Technical Leader for review. Adhere to the quality system requirements of the project as defined in the Project Plan including verification of product produced. I am a graduate working within the water team focusing on water resources and water infrastructure. I help project leads on multiple projects with the delivery of reports.

Basically, doing soil and rock testing, and occasionally being out onsite for drilling supervision.

Building hydraulic models, supporting seniors on the projects, writing reports, etc.

Mainly water planning projects including model review and calibration for CoGC, small development assessment projects, and the Cairns rural water security strategy which has involved demand analysis and model calibration and validation (plus system performance).

Currently drafting work with MicroStation and AutoCAD. I also help with design coordination, and some design work.

I enjoy my role, I feel like I have been given my own niche tasks within the team to look after.

My managers are nice. They don't mean to push me do a lot of work. But I still feel pushed sometimes.

I started as a graduate process engineer at team treatment. I have a list of training and learning to do as a daily routine. Apart from the training, I am also assisting some projects under the supervision of the Practice Lead and Senior Process Engineer.

I am involved with lots of different dams and hydro projects and provide support and perform technical work with the guidance of my colleagues.

Supporting the seniors in any way they see fit. This could be writing reports or doing design work or general project admin.

Report writing, and software usage.

I joined in the company at quite a bad time, therefore work was not consistent for me or the team to train myself better. But I also receive a lot of support from colleagues to perform my Graduate Civil Engineer role well. Work includes drafting engineering drawings, designing basic tasks for relevant jobs within Business Centre, completing reports, recording assets, and several other things. But generally, I'm quite happy with what I'm doing.

Consulting work. Designing infrastructure, providing advice, reviewing proposed and alternative solutions.

I usually do project work writing reports and assessments, and occasionally help with job proposals or bid and sometimes head out on fieldwork
