- SCHCADS Award Level 3, hourly rates range from $34.04 to $36.50 + super + salary packaging

Your new role
Opportunity for a Support Worker to join Vinnies NSW homelessness and housing services. In this vital and rewarding role, you will be providing on-site support to children, young people and families who have been impacted by family violence. You will also assist in the entry and assessment of new clients at the site, and the daily running of the site.
Role responsibilities include:
- Provide a variety of supports to clients and work in cooperation with the case management division in a way that is consistent with a client’s case plan.
- Maintain daily records & assist in all aspects of providing accommodation services for clients.
- Handing emergency referrals of clients from other services.
- Maintain client records and case notes, both electronic and handwritten, in a professional manner
- Liaise with appropriate service staff to ensure client needs are attended to in an effective and efficient manner
- Responsible for managing the flow of clients and visitors in the building safely and responsibly as set out in the service procedure.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience and or willingness to work independently/without supervision.
- Appropriate Certificate or equivalent experience or currently undertaking tertiary study, in a related field.
- Current first aid certificate or willingness to complete this before commencement.
- Ability to work set rotating roster: Week 1: Wednesday to Friday 11 am - 7 pm Week 2: Wednesday to Sunday 11 am - 7 pm
