ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Nurse, You will be joining a well-established team and have the support of a full time Nurse Educator. Working in collaboration with the Professional Services Leader, you will be responsible for delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care, demonstrating and applying knowledge in all aspects of care. Your role will be to apply competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality resident outcomes complying with the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency. 

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Practice within AHPRA Standards for Practice and Codes of Conduct
  • Complete clinically accurate assessments and care plans according to policy that reflect person-centred holistic care
  • Recognise and respond effectively to changes in resident’s conditions
  • Participate in clinical programs as directed, e.g., dementia, wound care, quality assurance, infection control, admissions.
  • Monitor staff compliance with clinical care activities and provide direction as required
  • Provide handover information that is in an accurate and timely manner as per professional standards
  • Completion of ANACC documentation that supports ANACC funding
  • Liaise with employees, residents, families, other health providers and all stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Maintain knowledge of the quality standards under the Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and ensures that practices consistently meet the standard outcomes
