Southern Cross School of Business (SCSB) is an established ASQA accredited RTO specialising in providing Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Business and Accounting to international and Australian students as well as ELICOS courses to international students. We have two campuses one in Parramatta and one in Sydney City. We are looking for a VET Trainer to teach CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services. Training and Assessment Duties:

  • Provide a high standard of education to all students within the college.
  • Facilitate individual and group learning activities in accordance with training schedules.
  • Use e-learning platform Moodle for learning and assessment resources.
  • Maintain training records in a prescribed manner.
  • Provide timely reports to Academic Manager on training activities, performance including assessment outcomes.
  • Using SCSB's provided format, develop a session plan for the unit to be delivered and submit the same to the Academic Manager before the end of the first week of the unit.
  • Consults with and support students in their learning by identifying learning requirements, designing individual training programs and/or coaching to improve performance.
  • Assess students' performance against course competency performance criteria and recommends additional training where necessary to gain the competency.
  • Ensures that the college complies with NVR and ESOS Standards for RTO's across its student records management systems.
  • Maintain and implement student academic monitoring policies and procedures in accordance with the NVR / ESOS Standards for college.
  • Maintain and implement student attendance monitoring policies and procedures in accordance with the NVR / ESOS Standards for college.
  • Report any issues or concerns relating to students, resources, or any other college-related issues to the Academic Manager.
  • Develop, maintain and promote within SCSB, current and relevant learner resources in line with AQF standards and with approval from the Academic Manager.
  • Complete all administrative tasks associated with the position accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor and assess students during work placement
  • Part-time hours: 20 per week
