Located in South Western Sydney’s rapidly growing Macarthur region, Campbelltown Hospital is a hive of opportunity. Our Midwifery teams are community driven and community focused, working to give back and provide the best care possible to the local area.
We are looking for Midwives interested in continuity of care, wanting to work in a very established and long running Midwifery Group Practice model. Opportunity exists to case load up to 40 women/year through their antenatal, birthing and postnatal experience. Campbelltown hospital births around 4000 women per year, and is a level 5 service supported with a level 4 Special Care Nursery (SCN). The maternity service has excellent peer benchmarked statistics related to birth outcomes for women according to the Women’s Healthcare Australasia data, which is supported by skilled midwifery and medical Advocacy.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant. This position may entail rotating through various clinical areas such as, Birthing Unit, Post/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic.
